Important Note on Visibility and Control
The survey notifications available to you depend on your organization’s Awardco Engage setup and the settings configured by your Awardco administrator.
Some notification channels are required and cannot be turned off. Others are turned on or off by default and can be changed in your personal notification settings.
Ways to Receive Notifications
Awardco Engage survey notifications can be sent through the following channels:
- Platform
- Slack
- Microsoft Teams
- Push notifications on mobile
The channels you see depend on your organization’s setup and the specific survey notification.
Accessing Your Notification Settings
You can review your personal notification preferences in either of these ways:
- Click your profile picture, select My Profile, and then open Notifications.
- Click the bell icon in the top navigation, then click the gear icon in the notifications panel.
Understanding Notification Options
Each notification channel may appear in one of the following states:
- Default On: The notification is turned on automatically, but you can turn it off.
- Default Off: The notification is turned off automatically, but you can turn it on.
- Locked On: The notification is turned on automatically and you cannot turn it off.
- Locked Off: The notification is turned off automatically and you cannot turn it on.
Notification Language
Standard Slack, Microsoft Teams, platform, and mobile notifications are translated into the languages supported by each platform. Email notification content may vary if your organization uses translated email templates.
Types of Survey Notifications
Below is a list of notification types you can see for surveys.
Invitation
This notification is sent when a new survey opens if the survey creator selected the invitation notification when publishing the survey.
Who receives it: All eligible survey takers

Low Fund Alert
This notification is sent when the survey’s available award budget is projected to cover less than 80% of the potential remaining payouts for eligible participants.
Who receives it: The survey creator and platform super admins

Not Started Survey Reminder
This notification reminds eligible survey takers who have not started a survey yet.

Survey Closed
This notification is sent when survey results are closed and available to view.
Who receives it: Only the survey creator.

Important Considerations
- If a channel is locked, you cannot change it in your personal notification preferences.
- If a channel is set to default on or default off, you can update it in your notification preferences unless your administrator has restricted it.
- Survey results notifications only apply to users who already have the correct permissions and visibility to access those results.
